City Manager Julio Avael reportedly told the City Commissioners Tuesday night, presumably with a straight face, that his two "community" meetings to measure interest in the formation of a Police Civilian Review Board indicated that there was no interest. Duh! Julio heavily stacked both of those invitation-only meetings with law enforment people and those close to law enforcement.
No matter. There is a ballot initiave in the works. Let's see what the real people have to say.
A personal note to City Commissioner Harry Bethel, who has been pushing for real community meetings to get input on this topic: Didn't we tell you so, Harry? You simply can't trust that clown. He's looking you right in the eye and lying to you. He never had any intention of conducting objective meetings.
