The word on the street is that the arrest of at least six Key West police officers is imminent. We have some questions.
First of all, when the warrants are issued, will Police Chief Buz Dillon send out a press release to the media announcing that warrants are out for the officers' arrest? If not, why not? That's what he did when he had me arrested last June for uncovering and reporting incompetence and corruption in his department.
Also, will the bad boy cops actually be "arrested" handcuffed, searched, fingerprinted and put in a jail cell? If not, why not? That's what they did to me.
Unless you're from out of town, you know that Buz' bogus charges against me were long ago dropped by the State Attorney and that the ACLU is suing Dillon personally on my behalf. He is being charged with violating the First Amendment (freedom of speech and press), Fourth Amendment (freedom from wrongful search and seizure) and the Fourteenth Amendment (the right to equal protection). He is also being charged with falsifying his arrest affidavit.
Considering the trouble he's already in, surely Dillon will follow the same arrest procedures in arresting his own officers as he followed when he had me arrested. Won't he?
