Are seven City Commissioners too many for a little town like Key West? Should all Commissioners be elected at large, rather than by small groups of voters in each district? If you have an opinion, you can tell it to the Redistricting & Charter Revision Commission, appointed by the City Commission to consider changes in election districts here and how City elections are conducted. The Commission meets on Thursdays at 6 p.m. at Old City Hall. The public is invited.
This Sunday, February 3, is Local's Day at all Historic Tours of America attractions in Key West. All residents of Monroe County get free admission to the Key West Aquarium, Key West Shipwreck Historeum, Flagler Station Over-sea Railway Historeum, Harry S. Truman Little White House and Schooner Western Union. Reservations are required for the Western Union and complimentary admission is for the day sail only: 292-1766.
While visiting each of the attractions, locals can sign up for their Historic Tours of America Hometown Pass. The Hometown Pass gives locals free admission anytime of the year as long as they bring a paying guest.
