Key West Police Dept. Community Service Aide Raymond Bloodworth was arrested and jailed
Thursday after the City vehicle he was driving crashed into four parked cars in the 2900 block of Flagler
Ave. Bloodworth's vehicle was reportedly totalled. According to the police report, Bloodwoth failed a
roadside sobriety test. The incident occurred shortly after Noon.
Next Wednesday, Jan. 17, representatives of the Stock Island Business & Home Owners Association will ask the County Commission to pass an "open container" law for the County. Orin Opperman, who heads the group, said that several hundred signatures have been collected in support of such a law. Opperman is scheduled to address the Commission at 5:15 p.m. The meeting will be at the Harvey Government Ceenter in Key West.
"Anyone who supports this law should contact the Commissioners in advance and, if possible, come to the meeting to show support," Opperman said.
