sound is a Boogie Texas style, reminiscent of Albert Collins or Freddie King.
The Green Parrot Bar has scheduled another three-day weekend of hot music this weekend, starting tonight, Friday, June 23, with wildman-guitarist and roots-rocker Evan John and the H-Bombs, 10-2. This guy's musical mood swings wildly from muddy Delta riverbottom blues, coonass swamp rock two-steps, to overamped shout `n shimmy breakdowns.

The third annual Summer Solstice Sunset Reggae Jam will rock the dock at Mallory Square tomorrow evening, Saturday, June 24. Family entertainment starts at 6:30 p.m. with a special performance by Broadway diva Julia Nixon. She's performing in her Hot & Soul review at the Waterfront Playhouse.
