The Pier House Resort is hosting its Third Master Chef Dinner on Wednesday, May 17 at 7 p.m.
In recognition of the end of stone crab season, the Pier House has invited Master Chef Andre Bienvenu from Joe's Stone Crab on Miami Beach, to share the secrets of his success by demonstrating first hand the cooking techniques that have helped make Joe's Stone Crab world famous. The idea is for the dinner guest not only to enjoy a gourmet four-course meal prepared by Chef Bienvenu but, hopefully, to later use some of the demonstrated cooking techniques.
Joe's Stone Crab was originally founded in 1913, and has stayed in the family ever since. Rose McDaniels and Steven Sowitz, who now run the restaurant and will be attending the Master Chef Dinner, have helped expand the restaurant from six tables on a porch, to now serving up to 2,500 people a day.
The dinner cost is $100 per person, inclusive of tax, gratuity, and a hand-picked wine for each of the four courses.
Reservations are required 296-4600, ext. 70.
