Last week, officials of the 800-member Key West Film Society announced that a longterm lease had been signed on an 8000-square-foot space at 416 Eaton Street for a permanent home for the Society. This week, officials announced an open house for next Wednesday, April 24, 5-7 p.m. Visitors will have an opportunity to tour the raw space, plus see plans to turn the space into a film center and multi-purpose theatre. C-SPAN will be in town this weekend for a live two-hour broadcast from the Hemingway House on Sunday, April 21, at 3 p.m. It's part of the public affairs network's American Writers series. The program will explore the works of Ernest Heminway, in particular his experiences and writings between 1920-1940.
