Johnny Charles Band At the Parrot; Oysters Back At Schooner Wharf

THE JOHNNY CHARLES BAND, one of Florida's most dynamic blues and jump swing bands, will make their first appearance at the Green Parrot Bar this weekend, Friday and Saturday, September 21 and 22, 10-2. That's Johnny at right.

THE OYSTERS FANTASTIC BAND, below, will be back at Schooner Wharf Bar this weekend, Friday and Saturday, September 21-22, 7- 12. Fans say they're like an unplugged concert of all the top bands.

Smith Will Showcase Ann Warren Sunday

Larry Smith will be showcasing vocalist Ann Warren, a singer of blues-style contemporary and standard tunes this Sunday, September 23, at 10 p.m. in the Pier House Galley. Ann was "discovered" as a singer by Coffee Butler some three years ago. She has performed at the Waterfront Playhouse in "Gentlemen Prefer Blonds".

Auditions For Alladin

Auditions will be held for a Christmas production of "Alladin and the Magic Lamp" on the stage at the San Carlos Institute: Saturday, Oct. 6, 2-6pm; Wednesday, Oct. 10, 5-7pm, and Saturday, Oct. 31, Noon-4pm. Producers are looking for a broad range of actors with experience, ages 16-60, all types, singing ability a plus. Info: Venessa at 294-9995.
