New York Diva Diane Lotny At Virgilio's Saturday

Regulators Back At the Parrot

JUMP & SWING— The Fort Lauderdale-based Regulators make their way back to the Green Parrot Bar tomorrow night, Saturday, July 21, 10-2. They've played on the same bills with Buddy Guy, Dave Mason and they've opened for Koko Taylor. They've been the opening night closing act at the Fort Lauderdale Riverwalk Blues Festival for two years running.



Battle Of the Bars Next Weekend At Schooner

There's still time for bar and restaurants to put their teams together for the Battle of the Bars. This year's event will be on Sunday afternoon, July 29, at the Schooner Wharf Bar. The competition is a relay race that involves bar skill, precision, and endurance in the form of mixing a Margarita, running through an obstacle course with the drink, recycling, tapping a keg of ale, pouring, serving and drinking Key West Lager in a team relay effort. Each team is composed of two waitrons, two bartenders, one bar back, and a customer.

The entry fee of $35 per team will benefit Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Info:292-3773.



Tropical Friut Fiesta Tomorrow At Bayview

The third annual Key West Tropical Fruit Fiesta is set for tomorrow, Saturday, July 21, at Bayview Park, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. "We will be showcasing the wonderful variety of fruit that can be grown and enjoyed in the Keys," said Gail Keeler, Monroe County horticulture assistant and event coordinator. "This is a family experience. You can see, touch, taste and learn— then buy a fruit tree. Food, drink and music all day. Admission is free. The annual fiesta is presented by the Monroe County Extension Service.
