Michael Locke Back At the Schooner; Regulators Back At the Parrot

MICHAEL LOCKE and the Repeat Offenders, a popular road band that hits Key West several times a year, will be back at the Schooner Wharf Bar tonight and tomorrow night, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 13-14, 7-Midnight. These guys have a range of sounds from blues to contemporary. Locke has performed with artists such as Otis Rush, Johnny Nitro, Ben E. King and Little Anthony. Jump and swing blues band THE REGULATORS make their way back to The Green Parrot Bar tonight and tomorrow night, Friday and Saturday, 10-2. Hailing from Ft. Lauderdale, these bluesmonsters have played on the same bills with Buddy Guy, Dave Mason, have opened for Koko Taylor, and have been the chosen opening night closing act for the Ft. Lauderdale Riverwalk Blues Fest two years running.



Showcase FeaturesHolderfield

Marilyn Holdefield joins Larry Smith for the Sunday Night Showcase at The Pier House Resort's Market Bistro, this Sunday, Oct. 15, 9:30 p.m. `till 1 a.m. Holderfield, who moved to Key West from Cleveland with her husband in 1999, was recently featured in a PBS special, has made numerous TV and radio appearances, and last month performed with The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra singing the music of Stan Kenton.

Theatre Festival Continues Through

The Weekend

The Key West Theatre Festival continues through the weekend. Now in its ninth year, the festival showcases world premiere plays by promising new playwrights. Four new plays have been produced this year— and you still can see them all.

"Sexy and Miggs," written by Michael McKeever, is a romantic comedy featuring an offbeat duo who help each other along life's road. See it at the Red Barn Theatre tonight or tomorrow night, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 15-16, 8 p.m. There's also a 3 p.m. matinee on Saturday.

Adam Kraar's sensual drama, "The Spirit House," captures the magic and danger experienced by an American diplomat's family in 1965 Thailand. See it tonight at 8 p.m. or tomorrow afternoon at the Waterfront Playhouse at 3 p.m.

"Bed and Breakfast," by Joe Godfrey, blends comedy and drama as it explores the challenges faced by a group of house guests weekending in Provincetown. See it at 8 p.m. tomorrow or at 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Fred Silver's "Good Little Girls" is an enticing musical in which three women bare their souls and reveal their successes and failures. See it at 8 p.m. tonight and tomorrow night at Kelly's.

After-theatre cabarets are scheduled both tonight and tomorrow night at Rooftop Cafe. Free admission.

There will be a closing night party at Kelly's Sunday at 8 p.m. Free admission.
