It's not too late to enter your team in the 7th Annual Battle of the Bars. The event will take place at Schooner Wharf Bar next Sunday, July 30, to determine which bar staff will reign as the Year 2000 Champions. Each team is composed of seven members: Two waitrons, two bartenders, one security, one bar back, and a customer.
The competition is a relay race that involves bar skill, precision, and endurance in the form of mixing a Margarita, running through an obstacle course with the drink, recycling, tapping a keg of ale, pouring, serving and drinking Key West Lager in a team relay effort.
The entry fee of $35 per team will benefit Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Info: 292-9520.
