Sheriff Rick Roth launched his campaign for reelection with some local television ads this week. Unfortunately, whoever put the ads together for him forgot to include the required disclaimer: "Paid political advertisement paid for by . . . " That's against the law. While State Attorney Kirk Zuelch's office has been known to arrest campaign workers for minor violations of state election laws, it is unlikely that Zuelch will file any charges against Roth. The infraction was reported by the County Supervisor of Elections Tuesday. Roth immediately pulled the ads, according to the Monroe County Supervisor of Elections office.
