The City is asking you nice to lock your bicycle to the trees, lampposts or signposts on Duval St. Because if you do, City crews will cut off your lock and transport your bike to the bicycle storage area at the Police Station.
"Use the bicycle racks that have been installed at most Duval Street intersections," says Jim Malcolm, the City's Bicycle/Pedestrian Coordinator. "You may have to walk a little further after parking, but proper bicycle parking will bring about a safer and more pedestrian-friendly streetscape."
More than 100 band members from Monroe County Middle and High Schools will meet in Key West April 7-8 to form the 7th Annual All-County Honors Band. The Honor Band will perform at the San Carlos Institute Saturday, April 8 at 7 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.
