Avoid Eaton, Fleming, Southard Today

The Key West Police Dept. is recommending that motorists avoid Eaton, Fleming and Southard Streets today between the hours of 6 a,m, and 7 p.m. These streets are very congested because other streets in the area are closed for sewer work. Alternate routes: Truman, United and Flagler.

It's Not Too Late To Enter Half Marathon

It's not too late to enter the Half Shell Half Marathon this Sunday, Jan. 30, starting at 7 a.m. This is a 13.1 mile run through Old Town Key West. The entry fee is $25, which benefits the Key West High School Track Program and Clean Florida Keys, Inc. The registration booth will be set up at the Half Shell Raw Bar Saturday 3-8 p.m. and at 6 a.m. on race day. There will be a $5 pasta dinner Saturday night at 5 p.m. Running world Magazine's Bart Yasso will be presenting a slide show on adventure running and showing scenes from some of the toughest and most unusual races around the world.
