Santa's elves at Key West City Hall have been busy putting together a special treat for Key West kids: the city-sponsored Children's Holiday Festival at Bayview Park this Saturday, Dec. 11, 1-5 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there along with live music, games and booths selling holiday crafts and food. The Key West High School Jazz Band will perform. Violins and chimes will accompany the Sigsbee Elementary School Choir. Kids will enjoy Kari's Dance Factory, Captain Bill's Magic Show, and the clowns from "Clown Around" will bring a reindeer character and a toy soldier character, along with making their wonderful balloon hats and animals.
The city's bicycle registration program will debut at the festival. Those who register a bike get a free bicycle helmet, if they do not already have one. Vests saying "Share the Road" and information on bicycle safety and laws will also be available.
